Collecting Debt While Shooting Softgun Pistol, Man In Medan Arrested
MEDAN - A resident of Jalan Kawat 5, Medan Deli District, Medan City, named Satria (36) was arrested by the police. He fired a softgun at a friend while collecting debts.
West Medan Police Chief, Kompol Ruzi Gusman said the incident occurred Wednesday, December 1 afternoon in Brayan City. At that time, the perpetrator came to the house of the victim named Irfan Syam (40) to collect the debt.
"Unhappy with the victim, the perpetrator took a soft gun from his waist and fired it up," said Commissioner Ruzi, Tuesday, December 7.
The victim felt displeased and threatened to immediately report the incident to the West Medan Police. The police rushed to the scene.
"Arriving at the TKP (the crime scene), the perpetrators who were still at the location were immediately examined and evidence was found on the perpetrator's waist. The perpetrators were immediately taken to the West Medan Police for investigation," he explained.
"Between the perpetrator and the victim, there is a cooperation plan to set up a cafe. Then the perpetrator asked the complainant for Rp. 500 thousand. However, because the victim did not provide it, the perpetrator fired a softgun once," he said.
From the hands of the perpetrators, said Kompol Ruzi, a white softgun and 5 round yellow bullets were found. Police are still investigating where the perpetrator got the softgun.
As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 335 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code and the Emergency Law 12/1951.
