The Body Of Woman Allegedly Pregnant Found In Mokevart Cengkareng

JAKARTA - The body of a middle-aged woman dressed in dark colors was found floating in the Mokevart River, Rawa Buaya Village, Cengkareng District, West Jakarta, Wednesday.

"The woman's body was found by residents at around 07.30 WIB," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police, Iptu Tri Bintang Baskoro, when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.

According to Bintang Baskoro, when the body was found, he was wearing a black shirt and only wearing underwear. Residents assisted by the police then evacuated this half-naked body.

The police examined the condition of the body and found no signs of violence with blunt objects or sharp weapons.

Police also had time to check the identity card belonging to the victim. "The victim with the initials M is 51 years old, a resident of the Kembangan District, West Jakarta," he said.

The photo of the discovery of the body was then spread to several WhatsApp groups. From the photo, the condition of the corpse's stomach looks enlarged like being pregnant.

Bintang stated that he could not confirm whether the enlarged abdomen was due to pregnancy or the swelling of the corpse's body due to rot.

The body was then evacuated to the Cipto Mangunkusuma Hospital, Central Jakarta, for further examination.

The police are also trying to contact the victim's family.
