Police Arrest West Jakarta Residents Who Embezzled Ayla's Car In Medan
MEDAN - A West Jakarta resident with the initials IS (38) was arrested by the West Medan Police Criminal Investigation Unit team. He was arrested for embezzling a car belonging to Sri (65).
West Medan Police Chief, Kompol Ruzi Gusman said IS was arrested in Benar Village, Pantai Cermin District, Serdang Bedagai Regency, Wednesday, December 1, early in the morning.
Police Commissioner Ruzi explained that the perpetrator on Saturday, September 11 borrowed a Daihatsu Ayla BM 1953 QR car.
"Then the car was handed over to the complainant at the PT Socfind parking lot on Jalan KL Yos Sudarso, Medan," said Kompol Ruzi, when confirmed, Tuesday, December 7.
After receiving the car, the perpetrator took the car away but never returned it.
"It is estimated that the loss is estimated at IDR 50 million," said Kompol Ruzi.
Because the loaned car failed to be returned, the victim then reported it to the West Medan Police. The police investigated.
"On December 1, officers received information on the whereabouts of the perpetrators of fraud and embezzlement with the initials IS in Benar Village, Pantai Cermin District. Officers directly led by the Criminal Investigation Unit immediately moved to the TKP," he explained.
Officers also arrested the perpetrator who was sleeping in the house.
"After being questioned by the perpetrator, it is true that the perpetrator had borrowed a car from sister Sri. Then the perpetrator was secured and taken to the West Medan Police," he said.
