Even Though He Has Joined The Police As An ASN, It Turns Out That Novel Baswedan Still Hopes To 'return' The KPK
JAKARTA - Former KPK investigator Novel Baswedan stated that he still has the intention to return to duty at the anti-corruption agency. Although, he is currently in the process of becoming a State Civil Apparatus (ASN) of the National Police.
"Of course (the desire to return to the KPK)," Novel told reporters, Tuesday, December 7.
In fact, the desire to return to the anti-corruption agency is not only for him. Instead, all former KPK employees have been dismissed.
"Basically, one day I would like my friends who have extraordinary enthusiasm and competence and have high integrity that has been shown at certain times to return to the KPK in order to carry out their serious duties of eradicating corruption. and serious," said Novel.
However, Novel states their return as if it was just a fantasy. Because this will only happen if the KPK leadership has a strong desire to eradicate corruption.
This means that the current KPK leadership is considered not serious in carrying out its duties as eradicating corruption.
"Of course, at that time it could only happen when the KPK leadership had a genuine desire to eradicate corruption. Instead of covering up cases or problematic perpetrators," Novel said.
"I think we will wait for that moment. We hope it will not be too long," he continued.
Previously, 44 former KPK employees including Novel Baswedan received an offer to become the Bhayangkara Corps State Civil Apparatus (ASN). Meanwhile, there were 12 people who were recorded as rejecting the offer.
Of the 12 people who refused, one of them was Rasamala Aritonang. The reason for refusing to become a National Police ASN is because he has become a teacher at a university.
