Viral Revealed Delivery Of Coffins Complete With Tombstones In Dairi North Sumatra, Annoyed At Losing Pilkades

MEDAN - The police revealed the delivery of 2 coffins and tombstones which had gone viral some time ago on social media. The police arrested the perpetrator named Waldiman Sijabat (35) who is currently in custody.

The coffin was sent to the perpetrator's own house, which is located at Paropo Village, Silahisabungan District, Dairi Regency, North Sumatra, Monday, November 29.

The Dairi Police Chief, AKBP Wahyudi Rahman, explained that the perpetrator ordered two coffins complete with crosses. One crate is in the name of the perpetrator, Waldiman Sijabat and the other crate is in the name of Dison Maradian Faisal/Jesi Situngkir.

"The suspect sent the coffin in his own name and the same two residents on behalf of Faisal and Jessi Situngkir," said AKBP Wahyudi to reporters, Monday, December 6.

AKBP Wahyudi revealed that the perpetrator ordered a crate at a price of Rp. 1.8 million per box. By ordering 2 crates, Waldiman Sijabat used his personal money of IDR 3.6 million.

"According to the statement from the suspect, it was because he was disappointed. Due to the Pilkades in Paropo Village, the candidate for village head that the suspect supports named Bongga Erwinson Situngkir suffered defeat. Even though the suspect was very optimistic about winning. However, the suspect felt that many of his close family did not support him," he explained. .

The perpetrator also had time to make a report to the Dairi Police regarding the delivery of the coffin. After an investigation was carried out by the police, it was revealed that Waldiman Sijabat's trick was revealed.

For his actions, the suspect is subject to Article 14 paragraph (1) of Law Number 1 of 1946 concerning Criminal Law Regulations with a maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.

"Currently, the suspect has been detained at the Dairi Police Criminal Investigation Unit to account for his actions," said AKBP Wahyudi.

The delivery of the coffin went viral on social media. Because, in the video, a mother looks hysterical when a coffin is transported using a pickup truck.
