Nirina Zubir Land Mafia Case, Police Call Land Buyers Not Involved
JAKARTA - Polda Metro Jaya stated that the land buyer in the land mafia case, Nirina Zubir, had no involvement. This is because they buy land that is even higher than the Tax Object Selling Value (NJOP).
"(The buyer) has nothing to do with the land mafia," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, December 6.
Based on the results of the examination, the buyer bought land from the suspect Riri at a price of Rp. 5.8 million to Rp. 6 million. Moreover, they are not indicated to have anything to do with the land mafia.
"The buyers bought land with a value of Rp. 6 million per meter. So, it is above the NJOP, so that it is certain that there is no malicious intent in the buying and selling process," said Zulpan.
Investigators are currently still investigating the elements of the Money Laundering Crime (TPPU) against the two suspects, Riri Khasmita and Edrianto. Moreover, there are allegations of crime money being used as business capital.
"Investigators focused on the flow of money used worth Rp. 17 billion will be traced and investigators are moving in that direction," said Zulpan.
In the case of the land mafia that happened to Nirina Zubir, the police have named five suspects. They are, Riri Khasmita, Edrianto (Riri's husband), Farida Notary Tangerang City, Ina Rosaina and Erwin Riduan as PPAT West Jakarta
Riri Khasmita is known to be a former household assistant to Nirina Zubir's late mother. Based on the investigation, Riri had sold and mortgaged the land belonging to Nirina Zubir's parents. As a result, Riri pocketed Rp7.4 billion of money.
The suspects were charged with Article 378 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 263 of the Criminal Code. They face up to five years in prison.
