Suyitno, told that the incident occurred on Sunday, December 5th. At that time the victims were swimming and playing on the beach. A moment later, U was suddenly swept away by the current. Seeing that, IS while carrying G, tried to save U, but failed because the ocean currents were so strong.
"IS while carrying G, tried to save U who was dragged by the waves, but failed. The three were dragged by the waves," said Suyitno, Monday, December 6.
Then J, who knew the three had been swept away by the current, rushed to help them. But unfortunately, J also failed because he was not very good at swimming.
He was actually dragged along by the waves. And the four of them were bobbing in the waters of Pulau Merah Beach.
Luckily at that time the Red Island Lifeguard was alert and immediately gave help.
"One of our coast guards, who was on guard at the time, immediately threw himself and helped the four tourists who were swept away by the waves," said Suyitno.
