Unhappy With His Land Being Harassed, Wild Jukir In Matraman Shows Officers When Conducting Raids

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Transportation Agency conducted a raid on illegal parking in the Matraman area, East Jakarta. A total of seven four-wheeled vehicles violating the parking regulations were towed by officers.

However, the raids carried out by officers experienced a bit of trouble. The raid that was held met resistance from the local parking attendant. Even some vehicles also immediately step on the gas when the officers will take action.

The raids that were held by officers to break up the density of traffic flow due to the impact of illegal parking received protests from illegal parking attendants.

In fact, the parking attendant (jukir) refused in a high tone while pointing at the officer who carried out the raid. Despite the residents' refusal, officers still tow vehicles parked in any place. In fact, there is a sign prohibiting parking in the area. However, illegal parking is still mushrooming.

When officers installed a towing device on the front tire of a car parked in any place, one of the taxi vehicles was seen stepping on the gas.

From the parking raids carried out, officers towed at least seven four-wheeled vehicles. The seven cars were immediately taken to the East Jakarta Sub-Department of Transportation (Sudinhub).

"Drivers who violate are subject to a fine of IDR 500 thousand for their violation," said Head of the Operations Control Section (Kasie Dalops) of the East Jakarta Sudinhub, Riky Erwinda, to reporters, Monday, December 6.

Illegal parking raids will continue to be intensified for the sake of smooth traffic flow and public order.

"This illegal parking raid continues. We ask the public not to park their vehicles in any place," he said.
