Airlangga Hartarto Asks Golkar Cadres To Immediately Provide Semeru Disaster Relief

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Golkar Party DPP Airlangga Hartarto expressed his condolences for the natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru, East Java. This incident resulted in fatalities and injuries.

"On behalf of the Golkar Party, I am sorry for the natural disaster of the eruption of Mount Semeru in East Java, which affected refugees in several places," said General Chairperson of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, to reporters in Jakarta, Sunday, December 5.

The Coordinating Minister for the Economy appealed to people in affected areas to stay alert and stay away from dangerous radius and evacuate to refugee places that have been determined by the government.

Airlangga instructed Golkar Party cadres in East Java to move quickly to provide assistance to residents affected by the Semeru eruption.

"To Golkar Party cadres in East Java, I instruct them to move quickly to help refugees in the affected areas by setting up refugee posts and public kitchens," said Airlangga. The Golkar Party also asked the Golkar Party's DPP Disaster Management Agency to immediately help the affected communities by meeting basic needs in the form of basic necessities and distributing masks to the refugees.

"I have also asked the Golkar Party's Disaster Management Agency to immediately go to the disaster site to distribute basic needs of the community in the form of basic necessities, establish a public kitchen and coordinate with the Yellow Clinic to establish a health post," added Airlangga Hartarto.

"The Golkar Party has also instructed the Yellow Clinic to immediately help provide health services for residents who are victims of the Mount Semeru eruption," said Airlangga.

Furthermore, Airlangga said that the Golkar Party prayed that the Mount Semeru eruption disaster would not cause more casualties and have a greater social impact on the people in the surrounding area.
