Investigators Will Examine Two Doctors From IDI Regarding Hadi Pranoto
JAKARTA - Cyber Crime Investigators of the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) of the Polda Metro will summon two doctors from the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI) regarding the case of spreading hoaxes of Hadi Pranoto.
The two of them will be questioned in their capacity as experts regarding Hadi Pranoto's claim that he found antibodies to COVID-19. Apart from IDI, investigators will also summon experts from the Ministry of Research and Technology.
"There are two doctors that we will conduct an examination from IDI. We will call for an examination," said Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Yusri Yunus to reporters, Wednesday, August 12.
Then, several witnesses also commented on the uploaded video on MANJI's world account. The examination is to complete the investigation file of this case.
"Then we will complete everything, including the evidence that we will study everything in the future for completeness of the existing case files," said Yusri.
So far, 7 witnesses have been examined in connection with the case. Among them are criminal law experts, IT and other parties involved in this case.
"The 7 (witnesses) together with the owner of the Manji Dunia account are the witnesses presented by the person concerned. Both from the reporter and the reported," said Yusri.
This case began when Hadi Pranoto and Anji discussed COVID-19 and uploaded them to YouTube. In the conversation, Hadi said that he had found a COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.
In fact, his drug is claimed to be able to cure positive people with COVID-19 in a matter of 2-3 days. In addition, the drug is claimed to be distributed to a number of regions in Indonesia, such as Java, Bali and Sumatra.
In the end, Hadi Pranoto was reported to Polda Metro Jaya by the General Chairperson of Cyber Indonesia, Muannas Alaidid, because he was deemed to have spread false news about the claim of the COVID-19 antibody herbal medicine.
In this case, later the police will apply Article 28 in conjunction with Article 45A of the ITE Law.
