COVID-19 Update As Of August 12: Good News, More Cases Are Healing Than New Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) releases the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 today. There are 1,942 new positive cases of COVID-19.

Furthermore, East Java has 303 new cases with a total of 26,220 cases. Central Java with 179 new cases and a total of 10,944 cases. West Java with 109 new cases and a total of 7,803 cases. Then, North Sumatra has 109 new cases and a total of 5,264 cases.

The province with the most cases recovered today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 891 cases recovered. Followed by East Java with an increase of 345 recovered cases, Central Java with an increase of 131 recovered cases, and Aceh with an increase of 100 recovered cases.

Then, there are 2 provinces that reported having no new cases today. The provinces are Bangka Belitung and West Sulawesi.

In addition, the number of specimens examined reached 1,783,673. In detail, 1,746,629 specimens were examined using real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and 37,044 using molecular rapid tests (TCM).
