Transjakarta Accident Again, PDIP: Removing President Director!
JAKARTA - Member of the PDIP faction of the DKI DPRD Gilbert Simanjuntak urged DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan to fire the President Director of PT Transjakarta after the accident that occurred in front of the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, yesterday.
Currently, the President Director of PT Transjakarta is Mochamad Yana Aditya. Yana has just been appointed as President Director on November 8, 2021. Yana replaces Sardjono Jhony Tjitrokusumo who died on October 3, 2021.
This member of Commission B for the Economy of the DKI DPRD considers the removal of the Transjakarta directors to be a shock effect so that the performance of this BUMD in the transportation sector can be improved.
"For shock therapy, just remove the president and directors and replace them with new ones. Many are interested in becoming TJ's Managing Director with such a large salary," Gilbert said when contacted, Friday, December 3.
Regarding Yana's term of office, which has not been a month, Gilbert thinks that this is not a problem. Because, it is Yana's obligation to prevent the Transjakarta accident from repeating itself. Meanwhile, in fact the disaster happened again.
"If the performance is not good, why do you want to continue to be paid? We don't know who else there will be victims. Just replaced because it means that he really can't afford it," said Gilbert.
Otherwise, Gilbert suggested that the board of directors under Yana be fired. "If he wants to be given a chance, then all the ones underneath are removed. Because in the past we used the same technique. The new officials, because of their lack of performance, were immediately replaced," he continued.
For information, a Transjakarta bus crashed into the Traffic Police Post (Pos Polantas) PGC Cililitan, which is located at the intersection in front of the Cililitan Wholesale Center (PGC), Jalan Mayjen Sutoyo, Kramat Jati, East Jakarta on Thursday, December 2.
As a result of the collision, the Polantas Post was badly damaged after being hit by a Transjakarta bus from the direction of Jatinegara. According to information, a Transjakarta officer was injured in the accident.
The Transjakarta accident was caused by the fall of a jack from under the driver's seat. Then, the jack hit the gas pedal, causing the bus to speed up and hit the traffic police post (Post Polantas).
Previously, the Transjakarta accident had also occurred on Monday, October 25, early in the morning. As a result of the accident 33 people became victims. In which, two of them died and 31 people suffered minor and serious injuries.
The next accident occurred on Jalan Iskandar Muda, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta, on Friday, October 29. There were no fatalities as a result of the incident resulting from the sleepy driver's condition.
