Go Viral! Former National Team Player, Saktiawan Sinaga Kicks Audience When Performing Defending Main Field In League 3
JAKARTA - Another commendable action occurred in the middle of a football match, this time involving former Indonesian national team player Saktiawan Sinaga from the 2004-2009 era. He was caught on camera kicking one of the spectators in the stands.
The incident went viral through an amateur video uploaded to the @ultras.id account on Instagram. In the video that was shared, Thursday 2 December, Saktiawan Sinaga, wearing a yellow and black jersey, was seen running towards the stands.
Unexpectedly, Saktiawan actually threw a kung fu kick at one of the spectators at the end of the stands. Without giving any resistance, security officers and teammates immediately intervened in the player's actions.
The former PSMS Medan player was then taken to the field until the referee gave a red card to Saktiawan, and he asked all the spectators in the stands to leave the stadium.
"He also has to come out, provoke me and this match," he snapped at the match officials.
This unfortunate incident is known to have occurred when Medan Utama faced Tanjungbalai United in the round of 16 of the League 3 North Sumatra zone at the Mini Pancing Stadium, Deliserdang, Thursday, December 2.
In that match, the team defended by the 39-year-old won over Tanjungbalai United with a score of 2-1. Regarding this commendable incident, it is still unknown what caused Saktiawan to throw a hard kick.
Apart from this incident, Saktiawan himself is a living legend of the attacker from Medan City, he has defended various giant clubs in League 1 such as Persik Kediri, Semen Padang, Mitra Kukar, PSS Sleman to Pusamania Borneo. Saktiawan also had time to contribute to the Indonesian national team in the 2004-2009 era.
