Travel Car Owner Becomes the Suspect of a Deadly Accident in Cipali
BANDUNG - The police have determined a suspect in a deadly accident that killed 8 people on the Cipali toll road. The decision was made after the police examined the witnesses and processed the scene of the case.
"The suspect is the driver (of the elf car who died after the incident) and the owner of the travel agent," said the Director of Traffic for the West Java Regional Police, Kombes Eddy Djunaedi when confirmed, Wednesday, August 12.
The elf car that rolled over and caused an accident at KM 184 Cipali is owned by individuals in Jatibarang, Brebes. The travel owners are known to have 5 cars, but 2 of them don't have route permits.
According to him, the travel owner is charged with Article 315 of Law Number 22 the Year 2009 concerning Road Traffic and Transportation (LLAJ).
The deadly accident in Cipali on Monday, August 10, started with the elf car that crosses to the opposite lane. The elf car from the Cikopo direction to Palimanan "jumped" onto the Jakarta route.
The elf car was then hit by a Toyota Rush with police number B 2918 PKL. This car drove from the direction of Palimanan towards Jakarta. In this accident, 8 people died, 1 person was seriously injured, and 14 people were slightly injured.
