Not Qualifying For The Round Of Four, Pramudya / Jeremiah Still Excited To Face The Third Match
JAKARTA - The Indonesian men's doubles pair Kusumawardana / Yeremia Erich Yoche Yacob Rambitan failed to advance to the last four of the 2021 World Tour Finals (WTF). Even though they failed, they still had to play in the third match, Pramudya / Jeremiah took advantage of this opportunity to keep their spirits up.
In the third match which will take place on Friday, December 3, Pramudya/Jeremiah will face Christo Popov/Toma Junior Popov who are representatives of France.
Ahead of the meeting at the Bali International Convention Center, Pramudya/Yeremia remain excited because if you look at the record, this Indonesian representative has a better record. This is an added value for Pramudya/Jeremiah.
"Hopefully tomorrow (Friday, ed) to play well first, while from the meeting records, right, we are superior to them. But we are thinking from zero again, tomorrow we will play without a burden," said Pramudya in a statement received by VOI, Friday 3 December.
Before facing the Popov brothers in the third round, Pramudya/Yeremia first faced Malaysian representatives Ong Yew Sin/Teo Ee Yi. Unfortunately, in the meeting in the preliminary Group B on Thursday, December 2 yesterday, the Indonesian representative lost.
Pramudya/Jeremiah bowed after going through three long games with the final score 21-12, 11-21, 18-21. The defeat was the second defeat after previously falling to representatives from Japan which made Pramudya/Yeremia fail to advance to the 2021 WTF semifinals.
"Earlier there was a chance to win, but maybe his stamina was tired of being rubber, while we couldn't stand it. The focus must be maintained, because earlier we got points but died alone," said Pramudya after the second round match.
