Transjakarta Bus Hits Police Post At PGC Cililitan Until It's Destroyed, Driver Temporarily Stopped
JAKARTA - The driver of the Transjakarta bus that crashed into the police post at PGC Cililitan, East Jakarta, was temporarily suspended.
"Pramudi was given a sanction in the form of a temporary suspension of operations and is being questioned by the authorities," said Angelina Betris, Head of the Corporate Secretary and Public Relations Division of PT Transport Jakarta, in a written statement, Thursday, December 2.
The incident on the Transjakarta bus route 5 C PGC-Harmoni occurred when a bus that was not serving customers was about to turn around the red light at the PGC intersection, East Jakarta heading to Harmoni at 12.55 WIB.
The Transj bus crashed into a police post and injured the Transjakarta Line sterilization patrol officer who was on duty to regulate traffic in the area.
The line sterilizer was immediately taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
“The bus was damaged in the form of a broken windshield and damaged front left and right sides. While the left front side glass was broken. Furthermore, PT Transport Jakarta will give strict sanctions to the operator partners and wait for the results of the investigation from the police for the results of further investigations," continued Angelina.
