KSAL: Mental Development And Ideology Of Soldiers Must Be Innovative
JAKARTA - The Chief of Staff of the Navy (KSAL) Admiral Yudo Margono conveyed that the mental and ideological development of the Indonesian Navy soldiers must use creative and innovative ways so that the army can continue to adapt to the times.
Therefore, KSAL appreciates the program of the Indonesian Navy's Mental Development Service which organizes various competitions and competitions to strengthen the soldiers' understanding of Pancasila, the Sapta Marga, the Soldier's Oath, and the Navy's Trisila.
"Mental ideology and a strong struggle based on Pancasila, Sapta Marga, and Trisila TNI AL are the foundation of Jalasena soldiers' dedication to the nation and state," said Yudo Margono when giving a speech at the awarding ceremony for the maritime-themed film competition in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 2 .
KSAL conveyed that advances in technology and information not only provide convenience, but can also be a threat if it is not anticipated by mental and ideological development that follows technological advances and developments of the times.
"This needs to be done to the Navy personnel so that they are not easily eroded by the influence of globalization, and (they can) win all negative influences that have the potential to damage the mentality of soldiers and their families," he explained.
In his remarks, Yudo supported the activities of the maritime-vision youth film-making competition held by the Navy's Mental Development Service that continues to run.
"The nautical-vision youth film-making competition motivates the younger generation, the nation's successors, to remain optimistic in achieving their dreams and to foster a spirit of soul and love for the sea," he continued.
The KSAL also hopes that this activity can foster the spirit of applying the Pancasila ideology and the traditions of the Navy in the daily lives of Indonesian Navy soldiers and the Indonesian Navy's extended family.
“Ideology does not always have to be in places of worship, but also places like this. The traditional values of the Indonesian Navy and Pancasila can be understood by making these short films," explained Yudo Margono.
