Electability Exceeds AHY-Anies In Survey, Gibran 'Jokowi': Maybe Not, That's Inconsequential, I Focus On Solo

SOLO - The results of the Citra Nusantara Network survey surprisingly place the position of the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, beyond the name of the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) to the Governor of DKI, Anies Baswedan.

The survey measures the electability of figures who are included in the 2024 presidential candidate market based on their performance in dealing with COVID-19. At the top position is occupied by Airlangga Hartarto with the highest electability, which is 18.4 percent.

Next in the second position is the name of the Governor of Central Java Ganjar Pranowo with 18.1 percent. Ganjar is considered diligent in going to the field to provide socialization and actions to deal with COVID.

Gibran occupies the seventh position with a percentage of 4.2. This figure surpassed AHY with 4.1 percent and Anies Baswedan, 3.6 percent. Gibran is considered close to the people during the pandemic. The superiority of AHY and Anies did not make the eldest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) jumawa.

Gibran was indifferent and did not believe the survey results. "That's inconsequential! That (the survey results) is wrong. The survey of what (what), is inconsequential," Gibran said briefly when he was met by media crews in Solo as reported by the Surakarta news, Thursday, December 2.

Gibran also does not want to speculate. His important task right now is to focus on working in Solo.

"It's less likely to be above Mas Agus, no, no. I focus on Solo. I'm in Solo alone," said Gibran.

The Chief Coordinator of Community Research for the Citra Nusantara Network, Dwi Harin, said that the achievements of figures are directly proportional to public preferences in choosing a presidential figure in 2024.

The survey with the theme of Measuring Public Preferences Against Political Parties and Figures Against National Political Dynamics targeted 2,010 selected respondents.

The respondents are over 17 years old and are spread proportionally in 34 provinces throughout Indonesia according to voter data in the 2019 presidential election. The sampling used as respondents in this study using a multistage random sampling method with a confidence level of 95 percent and a margin of error is approximately 2.19 percent.
