After 5 Months Of Rehabilitation, Today Nia Ramadhani And Ardiansyah Bakrie Undergo Drug Case Trial
JAKARTA - The defendant Nia Ramadhani and her husband, Ardiansyah Bakrie attended the inaugural trial for the alleged crime of drug abuse at the Central Jakarta District Court.
The two of them entered the courtroom of Prof. HM. Hatta Ali at the Central Jakarta District Court accompanied by his attorney, Wa Ode Nur Zainab, at around 11.50 WIB, Thursday, December 2.
Reporting from Antara, the trial scheduled for 10.00 WIB with the agenda of reading the indictment by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) against Nia and Ardi was postponed for two hours. Both of them underwent the first trial of drug abuse cases with case register Number: 770/Pid.Sus/2021/PN.Jkt.Pst.
Nia and Ardi previously underwent rehabilitation at the Fan Campus Rehabilitation Institute in Bogor, West Java, for almost five months.
This case began when Nia was arrested by the Drug Investigation Unit (Satres) of the Central Jakarta Metro Police (Jakpus) at her residence in the Pondok Indah area, South Jakarta, on July 7, 2021 at 15.00 WIB.
In its development, the Central Jakarta Metro Police named three suspects in a drug abuse case involving husband and wife Nia and Ardi Bakrie.
Apart from the two, the police also named the driver with the initials ZN as a suspect.
The police have arrested the three suspects since July 7, 2021 with evidence of one clip of methamphetamine weighing 0.78 grams and one bong (shabu suction device).
The three suspects were charged with violating Article 127 of Law Number 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with a maximum penalty of four years in prison.
