212 Reunion At The Horse Statue, Police: Who Can Make Sure Everyone Is Vaccinated

JAKARTA - The police did not give permission for the 212 Reunion at the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta, Thursday, December 2. The reason is because we are currently still in the COVID-19 pandemic. Moreover, no one can be sure that the entire mass has been vaccinated.

"We are wary if a crowd gathers in one place, say at the Horse Statue, who can confirm that they have all been vaccinated? Moreover, they come from outside Jakarta," said Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Thursday, December 2.

In fact, the Horse Statue area is not equipped with the Peduli Protect application. Thus, it cannot track those who have not been vaccinated.

Because of this, permission for the reunion activity is currently not granted on the grounds that it can cause the potential for COVID-19 transmission.

"There is no PeduliLindung application that can be used. So it is very dangerous. Therefore, we hope that the public will understand this," said Zulpan.

However, Zulpan stated that the National Police, especially the Polda Metro Jaya, did not prohibit these activities. However, it would be better if it was held online.

Thus, the transmission of COVID-19 can be prevented because there are no crowds. "They can do this reunion activity, say online," said Zulpan. The 212 Reunion Committee decided to carry out its activities in two locations, namely, the Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue, Central Jakarta and Az Zikra Mosque, Sentul, West Java, on Thursday, December 2. .

The 212 reunion which will take place at the Horse Statue will start from 08.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB. There, the speeches will be filled later.

Then, activities at the Az Zikra Mosque will start at 13.00 WIB. Later it will be filled with dhikr together.
