JAKARTA - Participants of the Reunion 212 action began to gather around the National Monument and Arjuna Wiwaha Horse Statue area, Central Jakarta this morning, Thursday 2 December. However, they could not enter the Horse Statue which was a gathering place.

VOI monitoring, Ring 1 area is blocked. The officers installed barricades in the form of barbed wire before entering Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara and Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan.

In addition, Jalan MH Thamrin, Jalan Budi Kemuliaan, Jalan Veteran, and Jalan Museum were also closed.

Because they could not enter the Horse Statue, the mass of Reunion 212 gathered to form small groups which spread out on Jalan Kebon Sirih, Jalan Menteng Raya, Jalan Arief Rachmat Hakim, Jalan Kramat Kwitang, and Jalan H. Agus Salim, and others.

TNI and Polri officers also spread out to monitor the 212 Reunion participants who started arriving. Every now and then, officials approach participants and advise them not to gather to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

Currently, traffic in the Tugu Tani area is congested, as a result of road closures that have been carried out since last night. For information, the 212 Reunion action plan is in the spotlight. Having received appreciation, this event also received an ultimatum for punishment by the police.
