National Guard Supports Muhaimin For Presidential Candidate 2024
JAKARTA - The National Coordination Council (DKN) of the National Guard supports the General Chair of the National Awakening Party (PKB) Muhaimin Iskandar to run as a presidential candidate in the 2024 General Election.
"We support 1,000 percent to run for president," said DKN Garda Bangsa chairman Tommy Kurniawan in Jakarta, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 1.
The support, said Tommy, was carried out in the form of training for the leaders of the cadre of the National Guard throughout Indonesia.
"We are enthusiastic about forming one million cadres to win Muhaimin to become president in 2024," said the member of the DPR.
Tommy emphasized that Garda Bangsa has committed to recruiting young people outside the current PKB period.
"We want to fight for Ketum Muhaimin's popularity among young people," he said.
DKN Garda Bangsa held an Academy for Militant Cadre (Akmil) which was attended by the heads of cadre fields throughout Indonesia in Jakarta.
Meanwhile, the General Chairperson of PKB Muhaimin Iskandar also provided motivation to the training participants. Muhamimin explained that the competition for political parties ahead of the 2024 general election had already begun.
"The field for 2024 is very wide open for anyone because there is no incumbent. Whoever he is, has the same opportunity, both in the legislature and in the executive," said Muhaimin asserted.
