Magelang Police Detains Foreigners From England Who Admit Psychotropic Abuse Who Claims To Be Depressed And Paranoid
MAGELANG - Resort Police (Polres) Magelang, Central Java, detained a foreign national (WNA) from England with the initials RWSS who was suspected of abusing psychotropic substances.
Magelang Police Chief AKBP Mochammad Sajarod Zakun, in Magelang, Wednesday, said the disclosure started from public information that there was a suspicious package with the aim of sending it to RWSS on Friday, November 26.
"Officers immediately searched and arrested RWSS at his residence in Sidomulyo, Candimulyo District, Magelang Regency," he said, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 1.
Sajarod said that the search found a brown cardboard box containing one transparent plastic labeled mersi containing 9 pieces/strips of mersi Valdimex 5 and Diazepam 5 mg, each sheet containing 10 pills with a total of 90 grains.
Then a transparent plastic clip contains 4 Riklona sheets and 2 Clonazepam 2 mg, each sheet contains 10 pills for a total of 40 pills.
"From the suspect's statement, he got the items online, but we are still investigating it," he said.
The suspect admitted that he suffered from depression, insomnia, and paranoia, so he was desperate to buy the psychotropic drugs online. The suspect admitted that he did not know the laws that apply in Indonesia and bought psychotropics without a doctor's prescription or permission from the authorities.
"The suspect will be charged with Article 62 of Law Number 5 of 1997 concerning Psychotropics with a maximum penalty of 5 years and a maximum fine of Rp. 100 million," he said.
