Mahfud Reminds Governor Of Bureaucratic Reform In Regions
JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD reminded all governors to develop districts/cities that have not implemented bureaucratic reform in the regions.
"As Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, I remind the governor as the representative of the central government in the regions to encourage and develop regencies/cities that have not implemented bureaucracy and reform," said Mahfud at the National Seminar on Bureaucratic Reform and the Signing of Commitment Items for Regional Heads, quoted by Antara, Wednesday. , December 1st.
As many as 59 districts/cities have not yet implemented procedural bureaucratic reform.
"This means that these 59 regencies/cities have not submitted an independent assessment of the implementation of bureaucratic reform so that the Kemenpan RB cannot be evaluated," he said.
Meanwhile, six districts/cities have submitted independent assessments regarding the implementation of bureaucratic reform in 2020. However, they did not do the same in 2021.
Mahfud appreciated the provincial and district/city governments that had implemented bureaucratic reform as an effort to provide services to the community.
Mahfud asked the governors to evaluate the obstacles that caused the regions to have not implemented bureaucratic reform so that later they could be reported to the central government and handled by the Kemenpan RB and the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri).
"It is reported to the central government technically. It will be handled by the Kemenpan RB and the Ministry of Home Affairs to find a solution together from time to time," said Mahfud.
