Duo Asal Yogyakarta, Rantau Lepas Debut Song Like A Saw

JAKARTA - Yogyakarta-based duo Rantau released their debut song titled Like A Saw. Through this song, Indra (guitar / vocals) and Rama (bass) express their anxiety about the new phase of life as adults.

"Hopefully this song can serve as advice for friends who will go through the phase shift towards adulthood, of course those full of responsibility. At least so they don't regret it in the future," said Indra in an official statement released by Antara, Tuesday, 11 August.

The choice of the name Rantau as their new project was not without reason. There is great hope in it which makes Rantau a signal to have a better attitude when going out of his comfort zone.

"The meaning of rantau in the dictionary is that the situation is not in your hometown or being in a foreign area. In other words, traveling is an activity to get out of your comfort zone (hometown)," said Rama.

"But, getting out of the comfort zone is not easy. Humans are required to learn and develop, even getting older can also be likened to migrating, of course to a new phase of life. When you reach adulthood, your responsibilities increase and get heavier," he said.

Production of the debut song from Rantau was assisted by Ancal as a producer. Meanwhile, the mixing and mastering were done independently by Indra.

The song Like A Saw from Rantau can be listened to through various digital music services.
