Jokowi Participates In 'Selling' Shoes Seduced By Minister Basuki Buying: It's Good For Playing Drums, We Also Go To Mandalika On Motorbikes
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo persuaded the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono to buy shoes that can be used to ride motorcycles.
"The Minister bought the shoes. It's good for playing drums, for Mandalika too, we're riding motorbikes," said President Jokowi at the Tugu Dam management office, Nglinggis sub-district, Tugu sub-district, Trenggalek regency, East Java, Tuesday, November 30.
"Yes, that's right, sir. I'll ride a yellow motorbike later," said Basuki.
After that, the President and Minister Basuki tried on the boots that had been chosen by the two.
The conversation took place when President Jokowi and his entourage were looking at handicrafts from micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Trenggalek Regency, including leather shoes.
"The color is really PU, Mr. Basuki," said Minister of State Secretary (Mensesneg) Pratikno.
Seeing the Minister of State Secretary, President Jokowi also offered Pratikno to buy shoes.
"Pak Pratik, let's vote," said the President.
"There is no National Secretariat, sir," answered Pratikno. In the end, Basuki decided to buy yellow boots, while President Jokowi chose two pairs of dark brown and black shoes.
After buying boots and batik clothes, President Jokowi, Minister of PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno, and Trenggalek Regent Mochamad Nur Arifin left the Tugu Dam Management Office.
It appears that the Minister of PUPR is carrying the shoes of his choice, even when taking photos together he is still carrying the shoes.
