NTB Police KKE Assembly Rejects Appeal Application For Bripka MN Shooting Colleague To Death
MATARAM - The Council for the Code of Ethics of the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Police, through its appeal court decision, rejected the appeal of Bripka MN, a member of the Wanasaba Police, East Lombok Regency, the suspect in the shooting of his co-worker to death.
"The appeal request was rejected by confirming the decision of the East Lombok Police KKE," said the Head of Legal Affairs for the NTB Police, Kombes Abdul Azas Siagian, in Mataram, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 30.
The consideration, he said, was because the material for the appeal requested by Bripka MN was considered not to be included in the material substance of the case. The appeal commission assembly also stated that the previous KKE trial by the East Lombok Police had proceeded according to the rules.
"The mechanism is in accordance with Article 66 of the Perkap (Regulation of the National Police Chief) Number 19 of 2012 concerning the Organizational Structure and Work Procedure of the Police Code of Ethics Commission," he said.
The material for the appeal of Bripka MN, he explained, relates to the burden of family responsibilities, after being young, and acting for reasons of mistake.
"So that is not a basis for filing an appeal. Unless there is a procedural error made by KKEP," he said.
The appeals commission assembly also considered that the action of Bripka MN had tarnished the name of the Polri institution. His actions have also violated Human Rights (HAM).
Azas said that the results of the appeal commission trial's decision had been submitted to the Propam Division of the NTB Police. The goal is for further processing.
Previously, the East Lombok Police Code of Ethics Commission through a court decision recommended administrative sanctions in the form of dismissal or dishonorable dismissal (PTDH) to Bripka MN.
The shooting incident by Bripka MN to the victim with the initials Brigadier HT occurred Monday (25/10), at one of the houses with the address at BTN Griya Pesona Madani, East Lombok Regency.
Based on the results of the crime scene, the victim was presumed dead at 11.20 WITA, about four hours after one of the witnesses found his body lying covered in blood.
The shooting action against members of the East Lombok Police Public Relations was also revealed from the perpetrator's confession.
Related to the motive of the murder case, it is suspected that it was a matter of romance. The perpetrator was jealous of the victim who was suspected of having an illicit relationship with his wife.
From this case, the police have named Bripka MN as a suspect and have detained him at the NTB Police Detention Center.
As a suspect, Bripka MN is suspected of Article 340 of the Criminal Code regarding Premeditated Murder Juncto Article 338 concerning Murder.
