Bangladesh Ambassador Comes To Central Java, Meets Ganjar Pranowo, Discusses MSMEs To Education

SEMARANG - Bangladesh's Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman, came to meet the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo. Mostafizur wants to explore the potential for cooperation between Bangladesh and Central Java.

The meeting which was held in the meeting room of Building A on the 2nd floor of the Central Java Provincial Government's office was warm. To Ganjar, Mostafizur said that the cooperation between Bangladesh and Indonesia has been well established for a long time.

"Since independence, Bangladesh and Indonesia have established good bilateral cooperation. So we came here to see other potentials that exist in Central Java. We are interested because Central Java has great potential and the climate is quite similar to Bangladesh," he said.

Mostafizur added that many cooperations could be realized between Bangladesh and Central Java. These include MSME, education, tourism and pharmacy.

"We will certainly identify further, but the closest we can do is cooperation in the field of education. We want to connect universities in Bangladesh and in Central Java so that we can exchange students, lecturers and other resources," he explained.

Meanwhile, the Governor of Central Java, Ganjar Pranowo, welcomed the visit of the Bangladesh Ambassador to Central Java. Moreover, the meeting was held to explore cooperation, including investment.

"Not only investment, but also trade, education and others. Moreover, Bangladesh has also succeeded in making its own vaccine to meet its national needs. This is interesting for us, because we can cooperate in the pharmaceutical sector," he said.

Ganjar is also interested in the offer of cooperation in the field of MSMEs and the development of halal products. In addition, there are many other potentials that can be collaborated.

"This cooperation is good and we will definitely follow up. There are many opportunities that we can optimize between Bangladesh and Indonesia. And Central Java wants to be involved as well as contribute," he concluded.
