Ralf Rangnick Says Manchester United Squad Is Full Of Talent And Has Great Balance
JAKARTA - German coach Ralf Rangnick said he was delighted to join Manchester United as interim manager after the club announced his appointment on Monday afternoon local time.
"I'm delighted to join Manchester United and focused on making this season a success for the club," Rangnick said.
According to him, the current Manchester United squad is really full of talent and has a balance between young players and experienced players.
In addition, he also explained that his task in the next six months as interim manager is to help players to reach their full potential, both individually and most importantly as a team.
After serving as interim manager, the 63-year-old will also continue to serve at Manchester United in consulting.
"This squad is full of talent and has a great balance of young and experienced players. My every effort over the next six months will help the players fulfill their potential, both individually and, most importantly as a team. Beyond that, I look forward to supporting the club's long-term goals through consultation," Rangnick said.
Manchester United appointed Ralf Rangnick as interim manager of the club with a duration of six months or until the end of next season replacing Michael Carrick who currently serves as caretaker coach.
Ralf Rangnick will come in to replace the position vacated by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following a series of poor results obtained by Manchester United in recent times.
It is believed that after Ralf Rangnick has carried out his duties as interim manager at Manchester United, the club will try to bring in Mauricio Pochettino from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) or Erik ten Hag from Ajax at the start of next season.
