Someone Had Thrown A Bottle, The Demonstrators Were Not Provoked

JAKARTA - Until now, hundreds of workers from the Federation of Indonesian Metal Workers Union (FSMPI) and Regional Representatives of the Indonesian Trade Union Confederation (KSPI) are still crammed into the front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall. The orators of the demonstrations are still voicing their demands regarding wage increases.

Although there had been pushing and shoving between the protesters and the police, the situation soon subsided. It is known, the pushing action occurred when the Regional Regulation KSPI Winarso was about to enter to meet the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan.

Front row officers are still on guard using personal protective equipment (PPE). Meanwhile, the rear officers wore uniforms as usual. However, the officers continued to maintain tight security and anticipate clashes.

Meanwhile, based on reports at the demonstration site, protesters wearing red clothes spread their arms. They seem orderly in conveying their aspirations.

Previously, the head of the KSPI Regional Regulation, Winarso, while riding in the command car, shouted using a speaker about the throwing of mineral water bottles into the City Hall fence. But fortunately, the throwing action did not trigger a clash between the protesters and the workers.

"Earlier, I was invited to come in, the Governor was about to leave, don't be tainted, who was the one who started throwing?" said Winarso in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, November 29.

Until this news was revealed, the demonstration was still running smoothly.

Hundreds of workers who are members of the Regional Representatives for the Confederation of Indonesian Trade Unions (KSPI) DKI Jakarta stormed the City Hall and asked the Governor of DKI Jakarta Anies Baswedan to revoke the Governor's Decree (SK) which stipulates the wages for DKI Jakarta 2022.

"Revoke the decree regarding the UMP," said the orator in front of the DKI Jakarta City Hall.
