Supporting The Development Of Sharia Finance, Bank Muamalat Facilitates Student Visits Of UIN Syarif Hidayatullah

JAKARTA - PT Bank Muamalat Indonesia is said to continue to encourage the advancement of the domestic Islamic finance industry. Most recently, the Islamic-based business entity received a visit from students of the Sharia Banking study program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah on Friday, November 26 at the company's head office, Muamalat Tower, Jakarta.

Muamalat Institute Executive Director Anton Hendrianto said his party welcomed this initiation as a form of support for the expansion of sharia literacy among young people.

"This visit is also a field introduction for younger students about how the Islamic finance industry works," he said in an official statement, Monday, November 29.

According to Anton, practical training is very important to deepen understanding of learning in the campus environment. Therefore, he hopes that all these visits can be used optimally so that the knowledge gained can be absorbed optimally.

"God willing, these Islamic banking students will be able to get directly involved in the halal industry, which has huge potential in Indonesia," he said.

On the same occasion, the Head of the Sharia Banking Study Program at UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Cut Erika Ananda Fatimah expressed his gratitude for the support provided by Muamalat. The reason is, this activity is a forum for developing academic insight, which is expected to be able to provide motivation as well as innovation for students.

"This visit is to refresh and explore the potentials of the academic community, considering that we are well aware that there is a lot of knowledge that can be obtained because Bank Muamalat Indonesia is the first commercial bank in Indonesia to apply Islamic Sharia principles," he said.

Meanwhile, one of Cut Erika's concerns is the information system used and understanding some of the functions and duties of Bank Muamalat Indonesia.

"This visit provides an opportunity for students, especially to increase knowledge about real job prospects in companies and company competition," he added.

"Hopefully this visit can add and expand students' knowledge and insight about the sharia and halal industrial system, as well as foster a broad way of thinking in facing challenges in the world of work," he concluded.
