Ancelotti Confirms Real Madrid Will Not Be Strengthened By Hazard Against Sevilla

JAKARTA - Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed that Eden Hazard will not contribute to the team in Week 8 of the 2021 Spanish La Liga. Hazard will certainly be absent when Madrid host Sevilla.

Hazard's absence in the Los Blancos squad is due to the player's health condition that has not been primed. Ancelotti said Hazard was still not feeling well after suffering from gastroenteritis.

"We never take risks with players. Hazard trained today, but he is still feeling the effects of gastroenteritis so we can't force him (to play against Sevilla)," Ancelotti was quoted as saying by VOI from the club's official website.

Regarding Hazard's situation, Ancelotti actually said that the former Chelsea retainer had recovered from gastroenteritis problems. Hazard has even started training with his team-mates.

But even so, Ancelotti did not want to take the risk. Moreover, the Italian coach still seems to have several options to arrange a team without Hazard's presence.

Ancelotti said he was concerned about Hazard's condition and hoped the player would return to his best soon. Because according to him, Hazard is a player who always wants to give the best for the team.

"What I see is that he is a player with bad luck and I think he wants to get back to doing what's best for the team."
