Kim Soo Hyun And Cha Seung Won Character Stories On One Ordinary Day
JAKARTA - Actors Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won star in the latest Coupang Play series entitled One Ordinary Day.
Adapted from the BBC series 'Criminal Justice', One Ordinary Day tells the story of Kim Hyun Soo (Kim Soo Hyun)'s life which changes 180 degrees after he is declared the main suspect in a murder case.
On the other hand, there is Shin Joong Han (Cha Seung Won), a lawyer who is the only person who wants to help Kim Hyun Soo. Its unique premise made Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won agree to star in this series.
“I was deeply moved by the BBC's original drama, Criminal Justice. I watched the American adaptation and wanted to put the version of Hyun Soo that was already in the two previous versions," said Kim Soo Hyun, launching Soompi on Saturday, November 27.
“When I watched the original, my character looked very cold as ice on the outside but you could feel his warmth towards other people. I like the depth of the drama," said Cha Seung Won.
Furthermore, Seung Won admitted that the reason for choosing this series was director Lee Myung Soo who had worked with him through the drama You're All Surrounded.
"I have faith that if we work together again, he will do well in making me act the way I want," said Cha Seung Won.
Kim Soo Hyun, who has watched the original version, wants to make this character his exploration in the world of acting.
“When I first heard of the project, I thought this was my chance. I put it all for Hyun Soo. I feel frustrated and sad and sick and lost,” said Kim Soo Hyun.
A total of eight episodes, One Ordinary Day will air starting Saturday, November 27 and can be watched every Saturday and Sunday through VIU.
