JAKARTA - The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) closed higher in early trading week. JCI closed up 0.27 percent or 13.94 points to the level of 5,157.83.

Closing the trade, 223 stocks rose, 194 shares fell, and 173 stocks remained unchanged. The trading volume was recorded at 9.90 billion shares and was transacted for IDR 7.25 trillion.

Binaartha Sekuritas analyst, M. Nafan Aji Gusta Utama said, the strengthening of the JCI was driven by hopes of recovery from the global economy. In addition, according to him, there is euphoria regarding the 43rd anniversary of the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

This afternoon, stocks that were among the top gainers, including PT Jaya Bersama Indo Tbk (DUCK) which rose 22.93 percent to IDR386, PT Indah Kiat Pulp and Paper Tbk (INKP) which gained 12.83 percent to IDR9. .675, and PT Indika Energy Tbk (INDY) which strengthened 12.12 percent to Rp1,110.

Meanwhile, stocks in the top losers include PT Smartfren Telecom Tbk (FREN) which fell 6.99 percent to Rp133, PT Kresna Graha Investama Tbk (KREN) which fell 5.83 percent to Rp97, and PT Era Mandiri Cemerlang Tbk (FISH) which fell 5.15 percent to IDR645.
