Note! During The New Year's Christmas Holiday, The National Police Expands The Odd-Even Scheme Of Tourist Attractions Throughout Indonesia
JAKARTA - The National Police will expand the odd-even scheme in tourist attractions to all parts of Indonesia during the 2021 Christmas and 2022 New Year holidays. This policy expansion is a follow-up to the Minister of Home Affairs Instruction number 62 of 2021.
The odd-even scheme at tourist attractions previously only took place in two cities, namely, Jakarta and Bogor.
"So, in accordance with the instructions of the Minister of Home Affairs 62 2021, all tourist attractions are applied odd-even, all of them, from Sabang to Merauke, all apply equally," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Inspector General Dedi Prasetyo to reporters, Friday, November 26.
This odd-even expansion, said Dedi, was to prevent an increase in community mobility. Because, it is undeniable that this will affect the addition of positive cases of COVID-19.
"This is in order that we together mitigate the spread of COVID-19, and so on," said Dedi.
The expansion of odd-even tourist attractions throughout Indonesia is enforced for two weeks. The implementation of this policy coincides with candle operations which will take place from December 20, 2021 to January 2, 2022.
"(Odd-even expansion) The candle operation will begin," said Dedi.
In its application, for odd-even violations, this tourist spot will not be ticketed. But, they were only asked to turn back.
"Yes (not ticketed), just turned around," said Dedi.
