Riri Khasmita Detained But Report Of Confinement By Nirina Zubir Still Processed
JAKARTA - Riri Khasmita admitted to being held captive by Nirina Zubir's family and reported Nirina Zubir's older brother, Fadlan, with Article 333 of the Criminal Code concerning deprivation of liberty or confinement. The report was made before being arrested as a suspect on the report of Nirina Zubir.
Even though he has been detained, the West Jakarta Metro Police continue the process of reporting Riri Khasmita as a reporter for an alleged case of deprivation of independence or his confinement.
"This report from the Regional Police continues to be transferred to the Resort Police. So it is no longer a report," said West Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP Avrilendy as quoted by ANTARA, Friday, November 26.
Avrilendy said that Riri had reported Nirina Zubir's brother, Fadlan, with Article 333 of the Criminal Code regarding deprivation of liberty or confinement. Avrilendy has not been able to explain in detail the background of the reported case.
What is certain, he said, is that his party will in the near future examine Riri as a reporter even though she is a suspect in another case.
"It can still be investigated, it can still be done, even though he is a suspect in another case, he has the right to make a report," said Avrilendy.
This statement is in line with Nirina's statement that she has not received a call on Riri's report. Nirina denies any confinement process. He only secured Riri before being named a suspect and arrested for the land mafia case he reported.
Apart from Riri Khasmita, there are four suspects who have been charged with multiple layers of Articles 378, 372 and 263 of the Criminal Code regarding fraud and falsification of documents belonging to Nirina Zubir's mother.
