While Sleeping, Grandma In Indramayu Is Hit By A Cobra

INDRAMAYU - A creepy incident happened to Yati's grandmother (67). When he was fast asleep, suddenly the cobra was on top of him.

Somehow the cobra got into Yati's grandmother's bedroom. The snake also spits venom at Yati's grandmother.

Grandma Yati was shocked and grabbed the cobra's neck screaming for help. The cobra then sneaked into hiding in the furniture of the house. Meanwhile, Yati's grandmother was taken to Indramayu Hospital.

"He underwent medical treatment and was then allowed to go home. But his eyes looked swollen and had visual problems," said firefighter rescue officer, Indramayu, Warsito, who handled the incident, when contacted by reporters, Monday, August 10.

Warsito and other officers rushed to Yati's grandmother's house, looking for a hiding cobra. Nearly half an hour, the cobra was caught and released into a habitat far from residential areas.

"In the past month, this is the second incident. So we urge the public to clean up the home environment which has the potential to host snakes and other dangerous animals," he said.
