JAKARTA - Madura State Polytechnic (Poltera) launched an ambulance ship named Trunojoyo 4 to assist the medical needs of the community in the Madura Islands.

"This ambulance is a clear proof of POLTERA's contribution to advancing Sampang through educational work in the field of applied technology," said Director of the Madura State Polytechnic, Arman Jaya, quoted by Antara, Friday, November 26.

Arman said an ambulance made by Poltera vocational students was launched at the Coastal Fishing Port Installation building, West Coast, Dharma Camplong Village, Sampang Regency, Thursday, November 25.

Arman said the program was Poltera's big dream which was realized thanks to the full cooperation and support of the Sampang Regency Government, especially the local health office.

Arman said that other works that are beneficial to the Sampang community are being prepared, especially now that Poltera has collaborated with four villages for the Assisted Village program.

Meanwhile, Sampang Regent Slamet Junaidi said the ambulance ship was a form of service improvement from the Sampang Regency government for the residents of Mandangin Island, so that the mobility of health services could be better with the existence of the ship.

"This ship is expected to be able to contribute to Mandangin Island, which has a population of more than 18,000 people," he said.
