7 Elementary School Students In Solo Positive For COVID-19, Gibran Makes Sure Learning Face-to-face Continues
SOLO - The Solo City Government, Central Java took mitigation measures following the finding of positive cases of COVID-19 in face-to-face learning (PTM).
"The mitigation is the same as before (for students who were positive) we immediately quarantined them," said Solo Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka in Solo, Antara, Friday, November 26.
According to Gibran, the parents of each student affected by COVID-19 also underwent a swab test as part of contact tracing. For centralized isolation so far has not been done because parents do not agree.
"But we are still prepared, even though we do not undergo centralized isolation, but for one house it is still quarantined, but yesterday the results of the parents' swabs were negative," he said.
Meanwhile, face-to-face learning (PTM) is still being carried out because if you look at the number of students affected by COVID-19, it is not as much as the findings in the first stage of surveillance.
"What is certain is that these PAUD, TK, SD school children have not been vaccinated, they are automatically more vulnerable but recover quickly. They are all asymptomatic, take it easy, don't be afraid," he said.
Regarding this, the Chief Executive of the Surakarta City COVID-19 Handling Task Force, Ahyani, said that schools with findings of COVID-19 cases were currently undergoing distance learning (PJJ).
"PTM stopped first. If the latest results I have not received any more information, tracing is still carried out to family and close friends," he said.
As of Thursday, November 25, seven students from three schools were found to be positively exposed to COVID-19. For details, there are three students from SDN Semanggi Kidul, one student from SDN Cinderejo, and three students from SDN Kestalan.
"This is seven, in the past (the first stage of surveillance) was almost 100. Hopefully this isn't much. It's okay, it's a risk so it must be handled immediately," he said.
