Marquez Insists On Racing In MotoGP 2022 Despite Suffering From Eye Injury
JAKARTA - Bad luck befell racer Marc Marcquez, it was recently reported that he had a concussion, now he is also said to have suffered an eye injury. Nevertheless, the Repsol Honda racer insisted on remaining in the 2022 MotoGP event.
This was revealed by former MotoGP racer Loris Capirossi. He said that Marquez wanted to continue appearing in the 2022 MotoGP pre-season test at the Sepang Circuit, Malaysia next February.
"It will be a difficult winter for Marquez, but he said he wants to be there (MotoGP 2022) for the Sepang test," Capirossi was quoted as saying by Crash on Friday, November 26.
Regarding Marquez's condition, it was known that he had vision problems after an examination some time ago. With his current condition, Marquez is predicted to be absent in several MotoGP 2022 series.
Furthermore, Capirossi sympathized with Marquez's condition, which was plagued by repeated injuries. In fact, this year the performance of racer number 93 is doing well.
"Marquez was unlucky, he got into trouble again this year and when he started playing well he got injured again," Capirossi said.
"I feel sorry for Marquez suffering like this, I hope to see him smile again on the track. I spoke (with him) a few days ago and the result was positive," he explained.
The Repsol Honda team as the manufacturer that Marquez defended also estimated that their champion still had to take a break from the racing world. At least, Marquez must sit quietly until the latest inspection at the end of December 2021 is complete.
