Former Head Of Village In Lebak Suspected Of Corruption BLT COVID-19 Rp90 Million

LEBAK - The Lebak Police, Banten, revealed the case of the former Head of Pasindangan Village, Cikulur District, Lebak Regency, allegedly embezzling COVID-19 direct cash assistance (BLT) of Rp 90 million.

"We are conducting an investigation into the alleged embezzlement of COVID-19 BLT funds allegedly carried out by an individual former village head with the initials AU (49)," said Head of the Lebak Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Indik Rusmono, quoted by Antara, Thursday, November 25.

The distribution of BLT funds allegedly embezzled by the former village head was Rp. 90 million for three stages of disbursement.

In one disbursement, the value of assistance is Rp. 30 million for 100 families. Each received Rp. 300 thousand / KK.

"Yes, that's right, we have conducted a search at the Pasindangan Village Office to reveal the alleged case of embezzlement of COVID-19 BLT funds," he said.

AKP Indik said that during the search, his party secured a box filled with documents.

The document will be used as evidence to strengthen the alleged case of embezzlement of COVID-19 BLT funds.

The police have also examined several witnesses at the Pasindangan Village Office, and even examined the 100 beneficiary families (KPM) who received the COVID-19 BLT.

In addition, they also conducted an examination of five employees of the local village office.

"We have secured the documents, which can strengthen the alleged corruption case against the former village head," said Indik.

The former AU village head may be subject to Article 2 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 3 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption.

"If the Air Force is found guilty, it will be entangled in that article with a maximum fine of IDR 1 billion and the threat of life imprisonment," said AKP Indik.
