The Process Of Renting Plots In The PT Gili Trawangan Indah Area, NTB, Is Suspected To Be Illegal, Even Though The Price Is Over 1 Billion
NTB - The West Nusa Tenggara High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati NTB) found surprising facts in the land lease or lease per plot of PT Gili Trawangan Indah (GTI). The rental process is suspected to have been carried out illegally, without going through any legal basis or legality from the government.
Spokesman for the Prosecutor's Office for NTB, Dedi Irawan, said that the land rent per plot is set at around Rp800 million to Rp1 billion per year.
"The price for renting land there varies, ranging from Rp. 800 million to Rp. 1 billion. That is the rental price per year," said a spokesman for the NTB Prosecutor's Office in Mataram, Antara, Thursday, November 25.
Dedi said that the disclosure of the rental price for the plot of land in the PT GTI area, which has a total land area of around 65 hectares, was based on the results of field data collection.
This data collection is part of the prosecutor's efforts in the process of investigating cases that indicate a crime in the management of the area which is now one of the mainstay tourist areas of NTB.
The data related to his investigation needs have been secured. Now the prosecutor is just waiting for the cooperative attitude of the parties invited to give statements.
Allegations of leasing and buying and selling land emerged since the community controlled the land in the tourist area. Allegations of land tenure have occurred massively and illegally since PT GTI obtained a production contract.
The cooperation in land management with an area of 65 hectares is contained in the production contract between the NTB Provincial Government and PT GTI in 1998.
In the current condition, in the area of 65 hectares there are permanent buildings, most of which are the business fields of the community supporting tourism.
This condition was previously understood by the prosecutor's office when he received the mandate as a state attorney general (JPN) from the NTB Provincial Government to save assets in tourist areas which are estimated to be able to increase regional original income up to trillions of rupiah.
