National Teacher's Day, Four Students In Depok Arrested With Swords And Machetes For Brawl

DEPOK - The Depok Metro Police Jaguar Team arrested four junior high school students suspected of being involved in a brawl between schools. During this arrest, evidence was found in the form of a sword and a machete.

A member of the Jaguar Polrestro team, Brigadier Lungit, said that his party managed to secure four junior high school students from grades 2 and 3 from a private school in Depok. They, said Lungit, had an appointment to meet in front of the Kedondong alley, Kemiri Muka Village, Beji District, Depok.

"At the time of the arrest, the four students consisting of grades 2 and 3 of junior high school were hanging out at the scene. In addition, in the bag of one of the students who managed to escape, a sword and a machete were suspected to have been prepared for a brawl," Lungit told reporters, Thursday. November 25.

Lungit also explained that the action plan for this brawl was revealed after it was discovered that the status of students was being made on social media, in commemoration of Teacher's Day.

"In this social media, junior high school students from two different groups agreed to brawl around the location of the Kedondong Gang incident. But we quickly prevented it and immediately secured it," he said.

Brigadier Lungit added that the four students along with two sharp weapons that would be used for the brawl were secured to the Depok Metro Police.

"Sharp weapons that were secured from the bag and some that were also thrown away were found by officers while combing the scene. Meanwhile, the students who were secured will be given guidance by calling the school and parents," he concluded.
