Anies: There Are Still Businesses That Violate Health Protocols During The Transitional PSBB Period
JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan said there were still business owners who violated health protocols during the transitional large-scale social distancing (PSBB) period.
He said that on his Instagram account, @aniesbaswedan, after carrying out unannounced inspections (sidak) of a number of business establishments in the capital, Saturday, August 8 Night.
"There are business owners who are good at implementing the protocol in place, some are violating it, some are still violating it repeatedly," Anies said as viewed from his Instagram by VOI, Monday, August 19.
Anies emphasized that his staff will supervise business premises and restaurants related to the implementation of health protocols. Not only that, Anies emphasized that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will impose sanctions on managers of business premises and restaurants who dare to violate health protocols.
"DKI Jakarta has had regulations regarding protocols and sanctions since last May," said Anies.
He said, the fines for violating this health program had already been collected as much as Rp 2.47 billion. The DKI Provincial Government does not even hesitate to impose progressive fines to close down businesses and restaurants that repeatedly violate the COVID-19 health protocol.
"More severe progressive fines will be imposed for repeated offenses, including the closure of business premises," he said.
Anies expressed his appreciation to managers of business premises and restaurants that implement health protocols such as limiting 50 percent of visitor capacity, ensuring the use of masks, maintaining a minimum distance of one meter, and cleaning with disinfectants before or after activities.
"Let's protect each other and remind people around you, practice a healthy and safe lifestyle according to the Covid-19 protocol towards productive socio-economic activities," said Anies.
