Dipha Barus, Afgan, And Esther Pour Oversharing Culture Into Keep It Hush
JAKARTA - Technology that is increasing rapidly makes users often do not know the limits in sharing moments. Seeing this experience, producer and DJ Dipha Barus made a song called Keep it Hush. Dipha took solo singers Afgan and Esther Geraldine to sing this song.
Admittedly, the journey to finish the song Keep it Hush was quite difficult because it was originally made for Stephanie Poetri. “The first time I made Keep it Hush, the singers weren't Afgan and Esther. Then my laptop crashed so I had to rebuild it," said Dipha Barus at a press conference on Wednesday, November 24.
Keep it Hush is a song that contains lyrics so you don't have to share everything via social media which backfires on you.
"We use social media for good purposes. But what we have now is that we are used by social media. We share too many stories,” explained Dipha.
"Yes, as long as the intentions are good, whatever you share, but it brings good energy, I prefer that," said Afgan. He also admitted that he was happy because this song sounded fun but the message was deep.
"Just listening to the vibe of the music gives you a feeling of good energy, but when you hear the lyrics, it turns out to have a deep message. I like this combination of songs," said Afgan.
Esther Geraldine is the winner of Dipha's new Flower Challenge competition last May. This song became Dipha's gift for the winner because her voice was very beautiful and suited Esther.
With Keep it Hush, Dipha Barus hopes that this song can be listened to and its message reaches the listeners. Dipha Barus, Afgan, and Esther Geraldine's song Keep it Hush will be released on Friday, November 26.
