Prohibited By MKD, Arteria Dahlan Cancels Calling Airport Police In Case Of 'Woman's Child General' Quarrel
JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the DPR RI, Arteria Dahlan, obeyed the order of the House of Representatives' Honorary Court (MKD) not to comply with the summons from the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police regarding an argument with a woman who claimed to be the family of a three-star general.
Although previously, he had stated himself to be ready to attend the summons for questioning.
"In principle, I am ready to attend, I was already in Pluit, but the MKD leadership still said and forbade us to attend, so I looked for a middle ground," said Arteria at the DPR Building, Wednesday, November 24.
The PDIP politician asked the DPR MKD to be facilitated so that he could provide information to the police so that the problem would not drag on. It is known, the woman named Anggita Pasaribu also made a report so that the legal process was carried out by the police.
"I ask that the chairman (MKD) help me not to be impressed by asking for special treatment, so whatever it is, I want to find a middle way, I'm afraid that the solution will be made a public issue again, that I am not cooperative and do not want to provide information," said Arteria.
According to him, if he cannot fulfill the summons of the Soetta Airport Police Chief today, then he can ask other witnesses from his side to provide information.
"I would like to suggest that, right there can still be other witnesses without me even if it must be today still other witnesses can be summoned first, even if you want to call me how to look for technicalities," explained Arteria.
When her mother and staff were called, Arteria said she didn't mind. "It's okay, it's the same, there are airplane passengers who are not comfortable, there is a protocol. I will accompany them," he said.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chairperson of the DPR MKD Habiburokhman emphasized that the Soetta Airport Police Chief, Kombes Edwin Hariandja, could not simply summon Arteria Dahlan. This is because there is a rule of the MD3 Law Article 245 paragraph 1 which regulates how to summon members of the DPR.
In that article, it is stated that the examination of DPR members must go through the president's written permission on the consideration of the Council's Honorary Court (MKD).
Habiburokhman explained that if the Soetta Airport Police Chief needed Arteria's information, the police could conduct an investigation with the DPR MKD.
"Usually we have a lot of cases, so as reported parties, the examination is carried out at the MKD. That is possible, the most absolute is the president's permission. So don't ignore the president. This seems to ignore the president," said Habiburokhman.
