Prabowo: Candidates For Regional Head From The Gerindra Party Do Not Slander Others
JAKARTA - Gerindra Party chairman Prabowo Subianto reminded regional head candidates who will advance in the 2020 Pilkada not to use a destructive or destructive campaign style. He asked the regional head candidates to compete well in accordance with the applicable regulations.
"Once again, I compete well. You can't participate in bad practices. You can't badmouth others," Prabowo said at the Gerindra Party's extraordinary congress (KLB) which was held at Bukit Hambalang, Bogor, West Java, Saturday, 8 August.
In the congress, he emphasized that he had asked the Gerindra Party Branch (PAC) Leaders in the regions, especially those participating in the 2020 Pilkada, to be positive.
"If you demonize other people, especially in the direction of being destructive, negative, making fun of, or looking for things that are not important, I emphasize to PAC that it should not be done," he said.
"So our politics is positive politics. Friendly politics that always prioritizes the interests of the people," he added.
Meanwhile, regarding the coalition in the Pilkada, Prabowo emphasized that his party will open a coalition with any party without exception and absorb more aspirations from the grassroots. "There is no party that cannot be invited to cooperate," he said.
