After The Mural Contest, Now The Police Are Holding A Demonstration Oration Contest For The National Police Chief
JAKARTA - The National Police Public Relations Division commemorates World Human Rights Day by holding a Demonstration Oration Contest for the National Police Chief Cup on December 10, 2021.
The Head of the National Police Public Relations Division, Inspector General Pol. Dedi Prasetyo explained, this competition is to provide space and a forum for the community to express their aspirations and expressions.
"At the same time, educating the public on how to express their aspirations in accordance with applicable laws and regulations," said Dedi in a written statement received in Jakarta, Wednesday, November 24.
The competition will have the theme Commemorating Human Rights Day with a free sub-theme. Participants are free to deliver oration in the form of criticism or constructive input.
The former Chief of the Central Kalimantan Police said that this speech activity was a commitment from the National Police which highly respects the aspirations of the community, which is one of human rights. This is as stated in Article 28 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and Law Number 9 of 1998 concerning Freedom to Express Opinions in Public.
"Polri always respects and respects human rights in the form of guarding democracy by protecting citizens who express opinions in public," he said.
Like the National Police Chief's Cup Mural Festival which was held last October 30, this oration competition was also held in 34 regional police stations throughout Indonesia.
The technical oration competition will later go through a selection at the Polda level which will later be screened for entry to the Police Headquarters level.
This oration competition invites all elements of society to participate, ranging from students, laborers, farmers, to other elements. This competition consists of one team that can contain 5-15 people.
Registration for the competition starts from November 25-30, 2021. After passing the screening at the regional police level, on December 10, the participants who won first in the regions will appear at the central level or at the National Police Headquarters. In this competition, the National Police prepared a prize of IDR 50 million for the first winner; IDR 30 million for the second winner; and Rp. 20 million for third place participants.
