Anies Inaugurates Deputy Governor Riza As Chair Of The Association Of Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals For The DKI Region

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan inaugurated and inaugurated Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria as Chair of the Indonesian Muslim Intellectuals Association (ICMI) for the DKI Jakarta Region for the period 2021-2026.

In the inauguration event held at the DKI City Hall, Anies believes Riza can shape Muslims who have intellectuality, knowledge, and expertise in various fields which can later be actualized to build the nation and state towards a Golden Indonesia 2045.

"Under the leadership of Mr. Riza Patria, I believe that more and more ICMI work programs will support the programs of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government. This is a good momentum to increase real work collaboration between ICMI and the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government," said Anies, Tuesday, November 23.

Anies sees many challenges that will be faced by ICMI administrators in their goals and vision as an institution for gathering Muslim scholars and formulating solutions to the nation's problems.

"One of ICMI's challenges in the midst of the times is to realize ICMI's goal, which is to create a civil society life order. This is so that faith and piety, understanding and introduction of Islamic teachings are maintained among Jakarta Muslim scholars," said Anies.

Therefore, Anies asked the DKI Jakarta ICMI Orwil to be able to answer global challenges and maintain the solid power of the Muslim Imtak in order to improve the welfare of all Jakarta residents.

Continuing, Riza said that the management that he leads wants to be present as an enlightener and a forum for solutions to various scientific problems that exist in society.

Later, the realization of the DKI Jakarta ICMI program for the period 2021-2026 by presenting various collaborative activities with the people of Jakarta.

"We are trying to present programs that are needed and in accordance with the interests of the community. In this case, we are required to create an organization that can form a generation of Muslims who are pious, knowledgeable, and experts in various fields," said Riza.
