Menparekraf Sandiaga Uno Immediately Issues Circular Of Tourism Guidelines During PPKM Level 3
MAKASSAR - Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy (Menparekraf) Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno stated that he would immediately issue a circular regarding the plan to enforce level 3 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) ahead of Christmas and the new year.
"We will provide a circular about operating guidelines in PPKM level 3 in accordance with the Minister of Home Affairs' decision. So, it means a more local tourism concept, more special interest. The tourism concept can be packaged in the form of a health protocol," said Sandiaga Uno in Makassar, Sulawesi. South quoted by Antara, Tuesday, November 23.
With the issuance of the circular, said Sandiaga, tourism and creative economy actors can anticipate it.
Although the PPKM level 3 regulation will be issued, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy emphasized that this is not an operational ban, but a restriction.
Sandiaga will coordinate with the head of the tourism office so that businesses in the tourism and creative economy sectors are immediately given socialization.
"I see, even though the PPKM level 3 decision is difficult, we must take a firm step to ensure that the second wave or the new wave of variants that we predict will occur can be mitigated by taking anticipatory steps," he stressed.
The second thing, ahead of the implementation of PPKM level 3, although tourism and the creative economy are depressed, and make the community start to struggle, then his party encourages the provision of assistance that is right on target, right benefits and on time.
For this reason, the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination must be completed immediately, so that economic recovery can be realized immediately. So far, the data for South Sulawesi has only reached 45.5 percent of the vaccination achievement for the first dose of vaccine and the second dose of vaccine has not yet reached 30 percent.
In fact, South Sulawesi has many potential tourism destinations that can boost the economy, it would be a shame if the vaccinations are not completed immediately.
"For that, let's revive the economy, we create jobs, and it's time for us to move," he said excitedly.
He also thanked the RKS team for providing assistance to the community. Because this is what we have been waiting for, including accelerating aid programs to affected communities.
Sandiaga said that what is very important is the acceleration of vaccination, especially for the elderly (elderly). This was proven earlier, from the RKS team, from the demographics of teenagers to the elderly, all 1,200 participants participated in the vaccination today.
As a continuation of the vaccination acceleration program, Sandi has instructed the RKS Coordinator Muhammad Arsyad to continue to carry out vaccinations to help accelerate group immunity in a number of regencies and cities in South Sulawesi.
"The community now needs our help. So we must facilitate the distribution of basic necessities, the distribution of aid, lest the community feel that no one has come to provide assistance in difficult times like this. So this is the task of RKS. Hopefully it can be realized in the next few weeks, "added Sandiaga.
